Travel
There are two primary ways to get to Aspen. Our suggested option for out-of-staters is flying into town which generally will require a connecting flight. The second option is driving to town from Denver. Generally, at this time of year you can drive i70 through Glenwood Springs or over Independence Pass via Copper/Leadville. Fair warning: Independence Pass is only recommended for the cautious & adventurous. Tight roads, sharp turns, occasional one-way traffic, and high elevations await on this route.
For those who chose to drive from Denver we highly recommend allowing plenty of extra time both to and from Aspen. Generally, it is a 3.5 hour drive, but with holiday traffic on i70 those times could be greatly exaggerated - we’re talking potential for multi-hour delays folks! We hope no one misses events on the front end or a flight on the back end. Please plan accordingly allowing plenty of buffer time.
Stay
Our Welcome event on Saturday will be held at CP Burger in downtown Aspen. Additionally, we will be providing transportation to and from the 4th of July / Anniversary Celebration at T-Lazy 7 Ranch from Aspen so we recommend staying in or near downtown. If you end up staying in Snowmass, down valley or elsewhere, public transportation or limited public parking can be used to access Downtown Aspen.
